The bus-pedestrian trip to the entailed Lazovsky Reserve of Primorskiy region

During the trip you will see the cascade of 27 waterfalls of Elomovskiy source which lie in the entailed Lazovsky Reserve including the third largest waterfall of Primorskiy region - "The Star of Primorye" which is about 30 meters high. Being clutched between the rocks in the narrow ravine, this waterfall rushes out of the rocks and heads by the great stream for the bottom. It smashes into the beautiful spray which is always iridescent in the Sun…

You will go to the entailed Petrov Island where you can see the unique yew-tree small wood. This yew-tree small wood was planted by the ancient people and was a religious place for them. Most probably, various religious ceremonies took place under the black curtain of the yew-trees. Maybe even human sacrifices occurred in that times. Because of the fact that the yew-trees stop all the sunlight, there are no any vegetation in that small wood. Only two velvet trees and a lime-tree which both are in tumors succeeded in making their way up to the light mostly by banding into strange forms. In the same place there is a spring. People say that if you drink water from this spring without help of your hands you may make a wish and it will come true. But you mustn't wish harm to somebody, because it will turn back on you with double strength. If you take a better look on the yew-trees you see that all the trees grow in geometric order. They form six or seven hieroglyphs. Nobody can tell the whole meaning of the phrase, but it is proven that the first hieroglyph means "the tree" in all Asian languages. Maybe the whole phrase contains a message to the descendants, because yew-trees grow for about three thousand years. The yew-tree is a relict plant, and it is in the Red Book of Russia. For this concrete moment the age of the trees is about 1200 years. It means that at least for another one thousand years our descendants can guess the meaning of the yew-trees puzzle on Petrov Island.

In addition to the gorgeous Elomovskie waterfalls and the unique Petrov Island you can visit the museum of flora and fauna of the entailed Lazovskiy Reserve where you will see about one hundred and fifty birds; all the animals which live in Ussuriisk forests; rest at the beautiful seaside in the bay of "the singing sand" and swim in the clean, emerald water of Japanese Sea.
